- In 2024, The U.S. CDC reported three cases of drug-resistant infections (non-tuberculous mycobacteria) linked to stem cell injections received at clinics in Baja California, Mexico. Patients were treated in U.S. hospitals for joint or MS-related complaints. (According to AP News Report)
